Hi! I’m Sophie, and my horse is Louie, a 7 year old ISH, and together with my husband, we’re Team Tunnah Equestrian!
I started riding at the age of 4 in a riding school local to my grandparents in North Yorkshire, and was a lucky girl to have my own pony 5 years later. At the age of 12, growing tall and needing a bigger horse, and with exams looming at school, I fell out of riding. But as soon as graduated from University 9 years later, I was back to it!
Louie & I have been together since the very start of 2015, when Louie was a just broken in 3 year old…a lot smaller, and a lot darker!!
Our aims are one day to have a go at eventing again, but at the moment our focus is on British Dressage and establishing our show-jumping. We have regular training sessions with two top instructors – one for dressage and one for jumping, and on a weekend if we’re not out & about at a pony party, you can find us ambling around the Northumberland countryside.
Louie LOVES to jump, and we are working on his confidence over spookier things such as fillers, planks, and all things in between. You can often find us playing over obstacles or practicing our technique in between our training sessions.
Our dressage has gone from strength to strength in 2018, with a recent qualification to the PetPlan Area Festival Finals. We have a flatwork training session once a month and aim to work on various things 1-2 times per week.
Our blog & social media tells the story of our everyday yard life – the good, the bad and the ugly. So to find out more about us, follow us along!
I’m super excited to work with Boudica Equestrian to support raising their brand awareness to my own followers and discover some new brands and products for myself that hopefully my followers will love too! I’m also really looking forward to working with the rest of Team Boudica – existing ambassador Wiola & the three new brand associates too! As a team together I’m looking forward to seeing where Boudica Equestrian will be in 6-12 months time!
And don’t forget to read their blog too 🙂
