All of the Freejump stirrups offer excellent shock absorption & help improve your lower leg stability. So regardless of the pair you choose you are going to love them!
The options look difference but there are also small differences in the function of the stirrups, so here is a little guide to help you choose the best ones for you.
There are 3 different ranges:
- AIRS
- SOFT-UPS (Classic, Pro+)
- SOFT-UP Lites
All feature:
- Wide treads for comfort & stability
- Steel stud grips in the treads (Not on the Lites)
- Shock absorbancy (Higher in the Soft-Ups than the AIRS)
- Angles designed to keep the foot/leg in the correct position (more significant in the AIRS)
Find out more about each style:
AIRS: These are the newest in the Freejump range. They have a closed branch which gives them a more classic stirrup look. The shock absorbancy is in the tread which is unique to this stirrup. They are angled specifically to help you achieve the perfect leg & foot position. You can choose to have a flat or angled tread & bars.
- Improve leg stability
- Improve foot position
- Improve lower leg position
- Have a classic stirrup look
For added stability the Classic Wide Freejump leathers fit perfectly with these stirrups.

SOFT-UPS (CLASSIC & PRO+): The Soft-Up range offer the best shock absorbancy of the 2 styles. The open branch system gives excellent shock absorption as well as helping the foot release in an accident. They are great for lower leg stability and position. Classic & Pro+ differ only in look, so it just depends what style you prefer.
- Protect thier joints
- Get relief from pain when riding
- Stabilise the lower leg
- Be released from the stirrup easily incase of a fall
For added stability the Pro Grip Wide Freejump leathers fit perfectly with these stirrups.

SOFT-UP LITE: These are the lower end of the Freejump range in terms of features but are still a great buy for anyone looking for stability & shock absorbancy.
NOTE: They are only suitable for people with feet smaller than UK7 (due to the tread width).
The tread is wide and good but does not contain the steel studs that you get with the Classic & Pro+.
These are a great stirrup for kids or anyone who wants a good shock absorbing safety stirrup without the higher price tag.
For added stability the Pro Grip Wide Freejump leathers fit perfectly with these stirrups.
